Melinda Mindum

Tenor Saxophone

Melinda Mindum is a sax player from Melbourne. Music has always been part of her life, and she started playing as soon as she could sit. Starting on Piano then moving to Sax (because she wanted a portable instrument) she has spent many years playing in various community bands, but enjoys the big band atmosphere best – a passion that began back in 2005 when she was lucky to be a part of the JTC Stage Band, which performed at the closing ceremony of the 2005 Pacific School Games. She jumped at the opportunity to join the Melba Big Band and play with such a fab bunch.
